Biography
Dr. Husham Al-shather is a consultant in Pain Medicine and Anaesthesia. Husham is a Clinical Governance Lead of Pain Department at The Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust in England. He specializes in the management of chronic and acute pain conditions, regional anesthesia and perioperative medicine. He provides a variety of interventional and non-interventional treatments. He completed higher specialist training in Pain Management and Anaesthetics at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals in London. During this time he undertook a Regional Anaesthesia Training at Queen Victoria Hospital. He then completed his Advanced Pain Training at St George's Hospital and Ashford & St Peter’s NHS trust. In addition to Pain Management, Husham is an expert in ultrasound-guided procedures and regional anesthesia. He is a faculty member teaching at various national and international courses. He has numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals and book chapters in the field of pain medicine and anesthesia. His academic background includes FFPMRCA ( Fellowship of the Faculty of Pain Medicine of the Royal College of Anaesthetists ), FRCA ( Fellow of the Royal College of Anaesthetists), EDRA ( European Diploma in Regional Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine ) and PGCert PeriOP ( Post-graduate Certificate in Perioperative Medicine from University College London).
