Biography

Andrej Šribar was born in Zagreb, Croatia in 1983. After graduating from School of medicine at Zagreb University in 2007. he completed an internship at University Hospital Center Zagreb and after work experience as an emergency physician started residency in anesthesiology, resuscitation, and intensive care medicine in University Hospital Dubrava which he completed in 2013. In 2017. he completed sub-specialist training in intensive care medicine, and in 2018. obtained a Ph.D. degree with thesis “Effect of oral pathogens on in-hospital mortality of patients surgically treated for infective endocarditis”. He works as an anesthesiologist and intensive medicine specialist for cardiac patients in UH Dubrava, and as a lecturer at Zagreb University School of Dental Medicine. His field of scientific interest is hemodynamic monitoring, mechanical ventilation, sepsis and extracorporeal organ support.
